Feeling s**t today

I feel st today, I don’t know what to write I don’t know if I must write anymore, the publishers keep on rejecting my books, another one today just said sorry, oh really, I don’t think you are sorry! you don’t give a st about my book so why even compliment it! Sorry, I’m just ranting and raving. Other crap things are happening to me too. My husband has taken on a role as housekeeper’s overseer so he comments on every household chore I do, why don’t he just let me be and do what I want in the house! But I suppose he is concerned for my lack of motivation as I just let the house get dirty, so he’s my cheerleader and now he’s helping me with the housework too, so sweet! I felt like cutting myself today - before I got the email from the publisher, so its not just that, I just feel crap crap crap.

Thought I’d lean on your shoulders and cry today… and just let it out…

Take one moment at a time. Stay away from cutting yourself. You can do it. Just wait a little more, it will pass.

Sorry they don’t want to publish your book. But it’s hard to get a book published. Why not making an e-book?

How do you do that?

You publish your book on your homepage as an electronic book. Pdf. Then you just have to advertise your book to make ppl download it.

Kindle publishing.

F. Scott Fitzgerald got 128 rejection slips before he finally got published. Van Ghoh only sold one painting during his lifetime. History is filled with great writers who got dozens of rejection slips before they finally got published. Don’t get discouraged, Saadiqah.

hope you are feeling better today.
i wrote a childrens book…no one was interested…so i put it on amazon…now it gathers digital dust…but hey i still did it !?!
it is not the outcome that matters, it is the journey.
take care :alien:

Yeah no cutting. Father (one of my helpful voices) used to say to me when I wanted to scratch myself that if I was already hurting so bad on the inside, then what good would it do to hurt my outside too?

A lot of people I’ve known draw on themselves where they want to cut instead of actually cutting and end up with a lot of pretty pictures instead of ugly scars. Maybe you could try that instead?

Maybe talk to your husband about giving you space when you do chores. It’s good he’s helping you out now though. As for the book thing, don’t worry about it so much. Even some of the most famous authors got rejected tons and tons of times before they got published. At almost every event I’ve been to where they had an author talk, the author told aspiring writers to not be afraid of failure, and to expect to be rejected a lot before you find the right publisher. Hope that helps!

what’s your book about hunni? you can always publish it yourself on amazon kindle. xxx
