It’s 8:20pm here and I’m feeling empty. I’ve already had dinner and am not taking a bath tonight so I have a few hours before going to bed. I was doing some crochet during the day but I’m tired of it now. I want to feel better but sometimes it’s difficult. Not that I have specific problems atm, it’s just bad mood that bothers me. I’m still learning how to deal with bad mood.
It might help to pick up another hobby or to start getting a stack of new books to read through in times like this.
I’m currently cycling through playing the guitar, video games, writing, exercising, keeping things clean, and I’m trying to work reading into it.
The books on my list are:

then I have a stack of older books that I’ve already read. Vonnegut and William Gibson specifically. Been meaning to reread those…
Sorry to hear about the bad mood. Turkey and Bananas have good amounts of tryptophan in them. The brain uses this to make serotonin which is good for balancing your mood.
there might be a simple computer game out there that you can click away at… I used to spend a lot of time playing solitaire and spider solitaire… They are pretty casual… I wouldn’t consider them a legitimate hobby as most hobbies have a layer of personal growth and depth to them… but again… many nights I spent clicking and dragging cards on a computer screen. The more complicated games were too much for me to be concerned with.
I’m terrible at computer games… If I were good at them I’m sure I’d get addicted to them… lol so maybe it’s a good thing I’m terrible at them…
I just thought about listening to music but I tend to listen to the same old songs over and over again and I’m tired of all the songs that are on my smartphone. I honestly don’t know how to discover new songs/music that I can like.
spotify is pretty great but it is always missing a few things here or there. You just search or start a radio station based off of an artist or song…
You could also start a music thread on here and tell people what you liked before and then ask if they have any suggestions to help you expand your library.
hah… don’t be… whether it is because it seems limited or you are just embarrassed to reveal the artists you like… we’d only be looking to help and you probably be surprised by who likes the same music as you.
It’s just too limited, I have only 20 pieces of music on my smartphone. Well I used to have more CDs but that is also less than 100. But I don’t listen to CDs anymore. So basically now I live with only the 20 pieces of music.

I’m the same today. I feel angry for no reason. I think it’s benzo withdrawal though. I’m just waiting for my meds to kick in too. Today’s going to be a rough day.
