Sometimes caffeine and whatnot in Dr Pepper bring down my mood. It’s happening right now. If I’d remembered that about the beverage before deciding to have it, then I could’ve spared myself the grief. Oh, well.
Anybody else have minor adverse effects from sodas?
I’ve never drank a Dr Pepper in my life
Yeah, indigestion. Friggin’ middle age.
At the rate I’m going I’ll be reduced to nothing but drinking tepid water and eating cardboard shred soon.
I feel pretty bad after just half a can of pop. But other times i can drink a liter or more in a day and im okay.
I would ask why you did it but I’ve done crap like that myself and still occasionally do. I hope you get over the effect soon.
I asked myself the same question. I think it was out of boredom. It might’ve been something to pass the time while I wait anxiously for an old friend to possibly reply to an email I sent her earlier today. I think the odds are against her replying, but I still hold out hope. I lost contact with her about a year ago and sorely regretted it. Oh, well. And what’s my motive for wanting to reconnect with her? Hopefully it’s platonic, but opposite sex friendships can be like eating one’s heart out. We’ll see.
Thanks for asking, @Blizzard.
No I think there was someone else on here who mentioned they did though I forget who.
I really don’t know why soda would cause that. If it’s diet I know artificial sweeteners do weird stuff. They give me migraines for example. But normal soda? I really dunno.
When I has hitch hiking a long time ago I used to love to buy a two liter bottle of “Surge” soft drink. I’d drink the whole thing, and then head out on the highway. It felt good.
i drank a rootbeer today. it was glorious
I’d bought a 2-ltr of Dr Pepper as well. Went back and finished it off. Good stuff, but maybe not for every day
I drank red wine recently…!!!
I dont like alcohol…i vomit if i drink even 1% of alcohol…!!!
thats good! you dont need alcohol anyway. especially since you have mental illness
I’ve done that too more than once. One replied. The rest didn’t. I did as a separate example send an email to my former roommate in college once during the time. I was doing it the most while i was on Latuda and lonely from having no voices in my head. In that case I received a nice reply but didn’t receive a reply when I thought of him again later and sent another one. I was merely trying to hold on to a past World where he was the closest thing to a friend I had (and sadly that’s not saying much). With the women it was a combo mainly of former sexual attraction + a desire to stay a part of their lives or maybe to try to convince myself it was OK with them. Those helped lead to Psych Ward visits. I did send a few messages to a couple of women after I quit the porn. One was to apologize for being a creep. Another was fan mail to a local personality because I noticed she displayed some minor mental issues out of sympathy although I definitely didn’t want to sleep with her. There were no reply and I reacted to it in a similar way to you. I also got very much into binging on sweets after Mom left town. That’s getting better but I guess it will never completely go away.
Thanks for sharing about that, and for reading mine. Yeah, relationships are tough, whether romantic or platonic. I was internet friends with this person for six years, then she did what’s called “ghosting” me, i.e. she simply stopped replying. That’s even harder because one doesn’t know the reason why no response. It is then left to one’s imagination to speculate, which can be torture. But we get thru these tough times somehow, sometimes as we know with a slip with a Dr Pepper . Have a great day, @Blizzard
They were selling two liter bottles of Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper for 89 cents at the store near my house today so I bought four. I drank half of one and felt fine. But 5 or 6 years ago I would drink 4 sodas one after the other and it would make me shake.
I don’t drink a lot of it as it makes me feel light headed and jittery. I can have 500ml alright, otherwise I stick to tonic or soda water and add lime cordial to it.
Yes. I gain a lot of weight when I drink diet soda all of the time. When I quit drinking it, I lose all the weight.
