Fed up with my gut :(

wish there was something i could do to to bring it down :frowning:

keeps getting bigger and bigger :frowning: and it hurts

guts suck !!!..

Successful weight loss and to keep it off is like a loss of about 4 kg a week. That’s with a sensible diet it will be more with exercise added. It’s all about sensible lifestyle changes and not some fad diet that puts the weight back on moments later. It’s not going to happen overnight but it will happen. Babysteps my friend babysteps.

been trying for years

As Yoda says do or do not there is no try!

Mine keeps getting fed.

idk whats wrong with me tbh i wish it was as simple as that yoda lol

Your not alone with it. Meds give us the munchies real bad. If left unchecked the weight builds up but it taken time to get the weight on…It takes time to get the weight off. But it’s like going down hill when you start seeing results with weight loss and you have much more energy so it keeps you motivated. The hard part is starting A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step and all that.

its not normal weight, i am covered in stretch marks where i just kind of exploded like the hulk but my belly is distended and its sore and bloated all the time, i feel bad after eating and drinking like i have bad digestion or something

i honestly don’t eat a lot

Seen a GP on it? See if you can see a nutritionist as well. But unsure what the UK health service is like for it tbh.

they suggested a fitness class but i was doing something at the time, now i think i will contact them about it and see if it is viable, i have a health problem that is really embarrassing and whatever i do i hope it doesn’t affect it

Since I live such a sedentary life of just listening to music all day or the occasional trip to the store for food or what have you, but my diet I lose weight on is eating three “small” frozen dinners a day and it proportions my food for me where I won’t gain weight from eating…just an idea…works for me like a charm…I’ve lost 45 pounds so far.

my daily diet consists of

  • toast, 9am,
  • sandwich, 12noon, 500kcal
  • dinner, 5pm, 500-1000kcal

i drink tea as well and coke sometimes but thats about it, sometimes have a snack.

my doc told me to not eat at night like for supper

sorry to sound like a hard person, but cut out the snacks…

i know, i got some fruit for that but god knows if i’ll eat it lol,

so i was trying to work out if that is a healthy amount of calories to eat or is it whats in the food that is the problem? i am 200lbs now maybe a bit more so is 1500kcals a day healthy? its usually less than that but i honestly have no idea about food.

if you are at 200 lbs. I would suggest eating raw vegetables and fruit every 3 hours, maybe some walnuts or pecans for snacking and just try the 3 frozen dinners a day like I do, I bet you lose weight…you need about 16 to 1700 calories dude…under that would probably be starvation mode for your body.

i must be starving myself then which is weird bc i thought i would know, i don’t feel hungry or anything, i really need to see the doctor about this :frowning: i thought if i ate less then i would lose weight but thats not the case :frowning: god i hate my body :frowning: i think i am still eating like was when i was thin :frowning:
i don’t even know if i am drinking enough fluids

's not how much you eat dreamer, it’s what you eat. if you’re hungry get some carrots and dips like hummus or taramasalata, cucumber, low fat cheese spread and crackers like ryvita thins. eat vegetables and fruit and eggs fill you up. toast and butter on it’s own is 500 calories. get a brown bread called nimble. it’s only 65 calories a slice. ham is only 38 calories a slice. ditch the cheese. have a ham and tomato sarny with humus or lighter than light mayo instead if butter. have scrambled egg instead of fried. cook mushrooms in the microwave instead of frying them. make omlettes with ham, mushrooms and coriander. buy lean white meat such as pork and diced chicken breast. eat jacket spuds with tuna, light mayo and sweetcorn and salad on the side, spicy chicken and light mayo filling, eat porridge with sweetener instead of sugar. eat tinned tomatoes with toast, beans on toast. the list of low calorie foods is endless. i’ve lost 42 pounds so far with another 28 to go. i take regular breaks from my diet so that i can eat curry, pizza, fish and chips…whatever but only once a fortnight. if i’m feeling especially decadent i’ll make dauphinoise spuds with cream and melted cheese but only once in a while. you can do it. you just have to make healthy choices. loads of fruit and veg and lean meats. good luck.

I think setting a goal of losing 4 kg a week is way too much. I’m on a strict low carb diet with 1 cheat day a week and lose 1 kilo a week. 1 kilo of fat has 7700 calories in it, so that would mean 1100 calorie deficit a day which is a lot considering you only need about 2000 calories a day. Obv. 4kg a week would mean 4400 calorie deficit a day, that’s impossible unless you eat next to nothing and exercise many hours a day, your body would just go into “starvation mode” and you wouldn’t lose anything. I know people want to lose weight fast but you have to be realistic.
