Fallout from weekend is rough. Does anyone else have delayed emotional reactions?

I feel like all my extreme emotions are delayed by a couple days,

All the time.

Stuff that should have made me sad Saturday is just hitting me now,

Which is upsetting, but expected and manageable.

Does anyone else have kind of a delay when you should have a heavy reaction?

Absolutely. I go into crisis mode when the heavy stuff happens, then when my brain determines the threat has passed, it unleashes the hounds of extreme emotional response.

That makes sense.

Hmmm… I don’t have extreme emotions. Good old “flat effect” I guess. I do suffer from what I call a “people hangover” if I interact with a group of people for a few hours though.

Is “flat effect” from the abilify or illness?

I have the flat affect too. Emotions are dulled.

Unless you touch me, especially in a threatening manner, I will go into attack mode.

It’s from the illness. It’s a symptom.

I vary I either have no emotions or extreme emotions. But yes I do believe I experience a delay in the emotions that do show up at times. Normally if it was something kind of stressing though.

Things that should run their course normally are lasting a lifetime for me.
