Faith in tesla cars

I never cared about electric cars until today, I watched a stock tesla 3 smoke a tricked out wrx from a red light. It was awesome.

You’ve got that power for two or three minutes tops and then the computer scales you back as the battery can’t support that kind of drain. Car quickly becomes boring. There’s also the issue of how poorly they’re made.

Oh really? That’s lame, petrol head for life then.

I think we’re about ten years away from viable EVs, but they won’t be Teslas.

I kinda think teslas are boring. so quiet.

I love a good sounding car. It makes the car.

Electric cars won’t become practical until they can develop batteries that can hold enough energy to be comparable to a gas tank in a conventionally powered car. Senator John McCain had the idea of offering a $300 million prize to anyone who could find a battery that could hold enough energy to be comparable to a gasoline run car. Whatever else was wrong with him, that was a good idea.

Car manufacturers agree with you.

The problem with EV is that their capacity drops a lot in the winter and snow here. I prefer hybrids.

That’s if the car is new. If used I would just get a regular gasoline car which I have. Batteries have a limited life time and decrease in efficiency with time.
