How many of you exercise inside home?
I exercise at home.
Do you do specific exercises for flexibility ?
I get my exercise at work. lots of heavy lifting and moving things, no need at home
Ive a little space with a treadmill and my yoga mat. I can walk and run, stretch. In the summers I try to swim every day when weather permits.
I do exercise on a static bike.
I exercise at a gym located in a technical college near where I live.
I’ll step walk around the house and use the treadmill in my home.
I use training resistance bands and do different calisthenics exercises to maintain my physical strength all at home.
I got a treadmill and exercise bike for free by asking on Facebook. I am trying to do at least 5 mins a day of exercise. Hubby made me a beautiful space with quotes on the wall so I really want to eventually do well for him too.
I have a gym membership but never used it because it’s too much effort to get there. Home works better for me.
I do yoga and I do half of it from an app on my smartphone at home. The other half, I do from a set of four different sequences that I’ve developed over the years from favorite yoga poses I’ve been exposed to in Yoga Journal Magazine, yoga books and yoga classes I’ve attended. I do it all at home.
I also do an exercise called Burpees which is a squatting exercise developed by the U.S. military. I do a simplified version more appropriate for the older set. I do 10 of these almost every day, at home.
I hear ya. I paid for an expensive gym membership for years and never used it because of all the work involved in getting there. I have a completely home based yoga practice today.
That’s awesome. I tried to learn yoga but had trouble with the learning itself. It’s so recommended always for people with mental illness. I hear that all the time.
Lots of good bodyweight exercise programs you can get on platforms like pinterist. I do a bit with bodyweight and have some free weights as well. You don’t really need much equipment to do a pretty good workout.
@Artsygal, I’m so sorry to hear you had trouble learning yoga. I’m mostly self taught. I took a few formal classes but mostly I learned from yoga videos, yoga apps, and yoga books and magazines. I have been practicing for 15 years now.
I go down to the basement and pace back and forth. If you could consider that exercising.
I have an exercise bike at home but don’t have motivation for it right now sigh
I also used to do pilates postures at home but don’t have motivation for it right now
Something like this:
I do push-ups and lift dumbbells at home. Been looking for a four room apartment. When We find one I’m gonna get some real gym equipment and have a small gym.
I just started. Going to the gym was too hard for me. Getting dressed, (having clean and available workout clothes to begin with), driving alllll the way there then having to come all the way back just was not working for me. So now I just do workout vids at home. Works for me!
