Everybody in the house has COVID, including me

My wife and brother-in-law got tested earlier this week and came back positive. I got my nose swabbed out of an abundance of caution. The nasal swab was negative, but they also did the nasopharyngeal test, which came back positive today.

I was utterly shocked to be told I’m positive. I feel fine. Like, no symptoms at all. Sure, my nose was stuffy in the morning which went away after a half hour, and I had a cough for a few hours, but nothing lined up with COVID symptoms. No fever, no chills, no cough, no taste loss, nothing. My quarantine ends on the 18th. I’m still going to get my second vaccine dose on the 23rd to wrap this horseshit up. I’ve heard enough about COVID for 5 lifetimes. Yargh.

Still waiting for an appointment to get my first vaccine dose. My fear of the virus is way stronger than my doubts re any side effects of the vaccine.

It’s good your getting the vaccine and aren’t sick. Seems like it will turn out well for you.

I’m sorry @anon40540444
Glad you are tolerating it well so far.
Here’s to a speedy recovery!

I got sick as hell from the vaccine. My body had a strong response to it. Got the shot at 11 am by 6 pm I thought I’d take a nap and stay up late. I woke up at 10 pm with a temp of 104*. I was trembling so bad my cousin had to make me some coffee. I fell asleep and woke up at 10 am soaked in sweat. For the next 2 days I had a headache. I probably wouldn’t have survived the actual virus.

Now be a good samaritan and SPREAD IT!!!
((((Just jokes)))) sorry if it’s in bad taste

You’re so lucky you’re not having symptoms. That’s great!
