Every time I eat a meal I get tired after and tend to sleep

Can anyone relate

And, isn’t that bad to sleep after eating.

I get tired after eating as well. It’s better if I eat lighter meals like a salad or yoghurt.

Yea I agree that does help. I tend to eat my fruit as a Seperate thing now to reduce the size of my meals, but still getting tired. Just not as much.

Yea. I’m still on aripiprazole, considering reducing dose in a year or two though. Yea it does make me weaker and more tired. Which ap are you on?

I take Invega (max dose) but I also want to lower. Just quit my clozapine a week ago, so will have to wait a couple more months for further steps.

It doesn’t happen to me all the time, but I have experienced that more than a few times.

I think digestion takes a lot of energy and blood…maybe that’s why?

Especially if you eat red meat, takes lots of energy to break those proteins.
If your energy drops because of carbs or sugar might be a prediabetic issue.

Yep, that’s why I don’t eat until at least 9pm (21:00)

That way I get tired around midnight and go to sleep.

So strange, I added In lots of protein but kept the carbs the same.

I feel less tired thou. After that meal. Seems to help, the protein.

I get very sleepy after I eat a carb heavy meal like pasta, pizza or cereal

I go into a carb coma

Heavy carb eating raises the blood sugar, and cause drowsiness. You need to get your sugars checked.
