I know I should be positive and hopeful. But I’m starting to understand forum members who suspect medicine won’t solve things for long while yet. And that it is usually hyped by the companies especially after the KarXT/Cobenfy release despite the new mechanism of action

As far as I know the only med that has actually meaningfully improved its users quality of life outside of the typical improvements we see with traditional AP’s is evenamide. The first article @everhopeful posted was about how evenamide has the potential to stabilize hippocampal hyperexcitability. Spg-302 was interesting and still is if you come at it from the angle that it won’t be as hard on the body as ap’s but as far as I know the only drug in trials right now that seems to really be improving lives is evenamide. This is the only drug I’m not sleeping on.

Yes. The promised land is always just around the corner. If thats true, this is the longest right turn I have ever made. My steering wheel arm is getting tired from making this turn.
To me it looks like medication usually makes a small step here and there, if they take a step at all. No leaps and bounds here.

Its probably best to try to get out and walk on your own steam as best you can until you see whats around the corner, because you never know whats there. It could just be another rest stop.
