nil nil at half time. Italy in the ascendency but only one serious attempt on goal requiring a good save.
Turkey could upset with a breakaway goal in the second half as they are defending in numbers and effectively and have a good centre forward.

I think Turkey is playing for a draw. Qualifying is the important thing. Italy is the toughest team in their group and Turkey would settle for a draw.

Absolutely. This was a one-sided match.
Italy is a top team. It has won four world cups, so obviously Italy and Germany are always contenders (Germany has also won four world cups).

There is a video posted of youtube of a guy wearing a fedora smoking a cigar passing a briefcase to the guy that self goaled for turkey right after the match. I wonder what that is about. Jk

It’s fun to watch him. He’s really good and I think he is a good example. He doesen’t want anything for free, he never falls over on purpose or whatever. At least that’s the impression I have of him.

He is a good player but I like Messi’s style more. Of course, Pele and Maradona were even better. I feel Ronaldo is very good, but I don’t think he is in that league.

Aaron Ramsey was the stand out player for Wales last tournament. If he hadn’t had the yellow cards ban the Portugal game might have been different.

I havent seen him play with Real Madrid for a long time. I just googled and he still plays with Real Madrid, so maybe he was injured.
