Euphemism xx

Instead of saying I am a schizophrenic to people, I can say I’m mentally ill. It’s an all inclusive term. Many people don’t know what schizophrenia is.

yea but when you say you are mentally ill they will ask deeper and want to know what exactly is wrong. So yea, it’s good idea but i’m not sure it will help much.

That’s what I do too just say mental illness or mental health issues.

It depends on my mood. Sometimes I am upfront and say I have sza. Then I get the inevitable “what is that?” And then explain that it’s sz symptoms and a mood disorder. Never had anyone not be surprised. I present mostly normal now.
