I had a root canal procedure 3 weeks ago. I’m there now for what I thought was just a follow up only to find out that she still has to clean out the canals. She said my tooth is a nightmare because it’s so calcified. Luckily, my mom offered to pay for this so I wouldn’t have to just pull the tooth and end up with my bite being off and getting bone loss

Yikes! Sorry @LilyoftheValley. I had a root canal that left me with a sore spot when I bite. If I have to get another root canal on my molars my chewing experience is going to suffer. Where am I supposed to bite and not feel pain/tenderness? I hate root canals and the aftermath!

It sounds like they didn’t get all the roots out. Sometimes a tooth can have more than one root. I’d go back to the endodontist and let them know.

I thought i was going to need a root canal but what the dentist thought was an infection looked to be just scar tissue. I am going back in a year to check on it.
