Continuing the discussion from Anyone have both Schizophrenia and Autism?:

Tim certainly has compassion and kindness but still struggles I think with empathy on occasion.

A comment from my sister. I think I most definitely have affective empathy but struggle with cognitive empathy. I find it hard to put myself in another person’s shoes. I don’t know whether that is just an autistic trait or something that is also partly attributable to schizophrenia.

This might be helpful. I thought I was Asperger’s, but my score didn’t prove that.
