I didn’t realize how high of a mg my pdoc put me on. I got a 37.5mg a 75mg and a 150mg of effexor I have to take. Is anyone here that takes a high dose of effexor?
They say 225mg is maximum
But I guess some can make an exception
I have a question about effexor. Does it cause you to be tired?
I’m on 150 mgs. I stupidly came off it years ago and it’s the only one that works for me. Ended up back on it at 300 mgs a day. Last couple of years I’ve been able to halve that so back to 150. It works for me.

Ok. I have an pdoc appt aug 15th. I don’t take the 37.5mg last week. I know I shouldn’t be have done that but caused me to shake.
I take 300 mg of Effexor. Was recently increased a few months ago when i went to hospital for severe depression and suicidal aspirations. It has worked very well for me.

I take 150mg of Venlafaxine(Effexor) and it helped immensely. I had to build up to that does and I thought it made me a little sleepy when taking it in the morning so I take it a few hours later.

Good to hear from y’all. I like effexor it kinda has a calming effect for me. I’m still depressed somewhat but I don’t expect acure.
Effexor is the Clozapine of.depression I.know loads of people who cannot get of that one after years of usage because of with drawl.

My partner is on effexor. She doesn’t really like it and wants to try something else. It could be contributing to physical health issues for her possibly.
