I believe this. I have been encouraging my son to start martial arts again. The social element plus the concentration and physical effort all together are hugely beneficial. They must really promote neuroplasticity/regeneration. I know it’s a bit funny to equate martial arts and Greek dancing, but I used to do karate myself, and when I had to learn katas, I hated them at first, I thought, “It’s just sort of macho dancing!” And I could NOT remember the sequences of actions, but I gradually got it, and learning them got easier. I guess dancing is the same.
