Drama here, my friend and his dad just went to blows so he walked over here… Then I’ve been so broke, I’m having to have my dad pay my bills which makes me feel so irresponsible as an adult… This makes me feel like an inch tall as a person, needing something to build me up, I wish I could this job with Starbucks that I applied for, I want to call and follow up on the application but I don’t even know what to say? Any suggestions are welcome
Just call and say “Hey I’m following up regarding my application I sent in” and that’s it, they’ll know what you’re saying, just be confident and fluid, they will appreciate it, it’s not as much about what you say but how you say it. If they like you. And you show you really want the job.
Hope you get the job.
Went to starbucks yesterday and it was hella crowded. Line of 10 cars at the drive through. People sitting in every seat inside…
Coffee was way over priced too. Why do they charge more for iced drinks when half of the drink is just water.
Somebody’s got some espalanin to do.
Its probably better put on your Sunday best and ask for the manager face to face. Your a pretty girl. Just say hi I’m really interested in working here and wanted you to have a face to name and tell him when you turned in an app. Something like that.
Make him feel like you have a lot to offer. Demonstrate how his store will benefit having you as an employee.
Yeah, drop by and talk to the manager. Ask him if he filled the position yet. Or to phrase it differently, you could ask him if he made a decision yet on who he’s going to hire.
But if you can’t go in person, a phone call is the next best thing.
Here’s my trick that I do when I fill out an application. They always ask what hours and days and shifts you are available to work. I always put ANY! And my other trick is when they ask ,“When can you start”? I always put IMMEDIATELY".
First action is go into a temp agency where there are people in the lobby, this shows they are busy, and get on their text alerts for daily or weekly jobs. Don’t count on Starbucks. You could start as early as the next day, and if you go in there early, hang out there, and they might put you to work that day.
Yeah, temp agencies are good. What happens often is when an agency gets you a temp job and the company they get you a job at likes you and your work they will keep you on permanently. I’ve gotten a few jobs like that.
Good luck @Vivotica! **
No!! F***k the temp agency.
Just go in there and tell the boss seriously that you are going to bust your ass for a paycheck.
