Is the major moral task we have in life just to control our anger?
I’d say the major moral task is to think of the greater good and fight selfish or meaningless wants. Whether as a whole or even just in your own life. For example wanting to go out drinking, but staying home to finish your college paper. Or wanting to shoplift from a small business but not because they’d have to pay for it
I stopped being angry all the time years ago. I have moments, sure, but it no longer consumes my existence. Strongly recommend anger management therapy. My major moral task is to remember I share the world with others and that I have resulting obligations I need to fulfill.
I think it’s to find some peace of mind and happiness. To be truly happy is to be good.
