Does my pdoc and/or therapist read this forum?

Just curious. What do you people think, does you pdoc and/or therapist read this?

Doubtful and if they did they woudn’t know it was you.

I doubt that too, they listen to people’s horrifying problems all day. I doubt reading about them is how they get their jollies off. No harm in asking though.

My nurse practitioner seems to know all about this website butt doesn’t give it much weight. I find the information here invaluable because she doesn’t warn me about side effects. I was angry with her about that and so had the dna test to determine what meds I shouldn’t take.

Like passing out each day unconscious for 12 hours on serequell, completely unacceptable to me. I stopped taking it as I couldn’t swallow either.

I used to worry that my last therapist or current psychiatrist visited the site to see what I had to say.

Now I am more worried that my psycho brother and his psycho wife visit this site to spy on me.
He knows that I come here a lot and at one point knew my screen name.

To them szs are people who can’t make educated decisions. My pdoc couldn’t take this site seriously. My old tdoc was more interested in making money off szs in a therapy group. That trick didn’t take us seriously at all.

My pdoc is my partner in recovery and takes my feedback seriously. In return, I’m completely honest with him and try approaches he suggests even when they go outside my comfort zone. I know he is as invested as I am in keeping my level of function where it is and he has earned my trust over the years.

Oh, I know of some who do.

My psychiatrist is old and near retirement. I like the old Doctors because they’ve seen it all.

I doubt my doctors do, but my tdoc seems to think its a good idea, she said its god I have support.

My clinical psychologist liked that this was a recovery orientated forum. She asked for its name.

I think therapists should definitely check out the other side of the site. I had an Aha! Moment one time during a session.

Holy Sh#t! How do you do this? Your job is listening to Human Tragedy & Ugliness all day, every day. (She did out & in patient for the local Facility).

I said Thank You, she laughed. We talked about Deflection techniques the rest of the session.

Yeh, that’s something I’m a bit too good at.

Yeah it can be a problem. They’re definitely positive & negatives to Coping. Sometimes it just delays help. Gotta try to be honest with yourself which can being really ■■■■■■■ hard sometimes.
