Does coffee make anyone else tired?

It seems like usually when I drink coffee it has a tendency to just make me more tired/fatigued and I need to lay down. It’s irritating. I think I once heard it could have something to do with “adrenal fatigue”. Anyone else?

Me too, in fact i drink coffee before i go to sleep to be more tired and to sleep well :smile: lol kidding :slight_smile:

It stimulates you at first, then gradually you would feel tired.

In my opinion, instead of using the mental power 50% in 3 hours, coffee allocates 100% mental power in 30 minutes. Just an illustration.

@Zoom I react like that to it sometimes, but usually it makes me tired almost immediately.

Yeah, I get more tired after drinking coffee. It’s so dumb. I keep drinking it anyway, though.

I have to watch my caffeine intake with my anxiety. It doesn’t just wake me up; it makes me really edgy.

I heard from my Nurse Practitioner that people who get tired from coffee may suffer from ADD/ADHD.

Do you drink enough water? It could be making you dehydrated

Interesting because anaesthetics have not worked correctly on me before. At the dentist. They weren’t working, basically.

So after doing some research, some possibilities are: ADHD, genetic predisposition to metabolizing caffeine differently, adrenal fatigue, and dehydration.

I’ve noticed that it doesn’t actually wake me up. I just like it. But I’ve actually gone to sleep right after drinking coffee… It would take too much coffee to actually energize me. It’d dehydrate me…make me feel sick.

Coffee usually sedates me for a few hours, I’ve been diagnosed with add or adhd (can’t remember…) but if I have too much I turn into a panicky mess a few hours later.

I’ve been diagnosed with ADD before but to be honest I tend to kind of doubt the validity of the diagnosis. It seems to get thrown around a lot. But this coffee thing is making me reconsider! Or at least think about it differently…

My friend had ADHD and she needs caffeine to go to sleep. It’s a real thing.
