Checking in with anxiety from birth, bipolar as a child, Sza in 20’s and somehow picked up panic disorder along the way
So thankful we have meds and I’m not being burned at the stake for being crazy like in medieval times

I have a lot too many. Right now on my chart it says autism sza bipolar type OCD PTSD FND and GAD. The OCD is coming into question as it seems more related to sza

My nurse was saying the other day she wants me to be tested for Asperger’s. I don’t really see the point of this.

I had to search FND, that one is new to me. Hope nothing becomes of that and you have no more issues.

I would get tested for it if my nurse was willing to do a referral because it will help pave the way for you to get your son tested and get him the help he might need. If you tested positive for Aspergers then they might take you more seriously when you tell them your son’s symptoms.

This is why she wants me to get tested. However I still don’t think I would mean much as his dad my partner has a diagnosis of it and they still don’t want to test my son. @Vinegar

Schizoaffective - depressive type (I don’t agree with this fairly recent dx, as I’m no longer depressed. I just tell people who need to know that I’m sz)
generalized anxiety disorder (this I def agree with)
autism (new-ish dx. Still not sure what to think of this one, but it does explain some things)

Autism seems to be common for people with Sz / Sza
I wonder if there’s a link between the two
Sometime I wonder I have low level Asperger’s. Seem to meet the mark, but don’t want another label.
