Does anyone else think this when you're outside?

When I go outside I’m always scared that people will follow me, kidnap me, burgle me, attack me, kill me, even that there will be terrorist attacks at places I go to.

To be honest I even panic sometimes that these things will happen in my own house.

I can’t make it stop, I try to rationalise with myself but something tells me exactly what will happen, with all the horrible details.

It’s a possibility, however it is unlikely it will ever happen to you. It would help to take self-defense classes, it would increase your confidence in this situations.

I’m too scared and anxious to go to and travel to a self defense class.

Yes. I’m afraid there’ll be a terrorist attack when I go out. Thanks for bringing it up as I never thought about dealing with it before.

not as much lately but i used to have those thoughts whenever a car would pass me while walking that they were going to swerve and intentionally kill me or something. i also remember seeing a guy walking into his house and thinking “hes going to get a gun and come kill me”

lol @korieve I have the same one about cars, my other ones are killers hiding behind doors when I’m at home alone, people walking past me that may stab me and snipers that may shoot me when I’m alone in a quiet place.

I used to think everyone was in on a plot to damage or discredit me in some way. The truck with the sanitation or water department was poisoning my well water, the guy coming out from behind the store on a phone was reporting my activity.

It got even worse when I moved to the city.

The feelings have subsided some since I’ve been medicated and somewhat isolating myself, but even now I look over my shoulder occasionally when I’m out. All I can do after medication is tell myself that I’m probably not worth the trouble.

I taught myself some self defense so I don’t get as scared anymore.

that sounds like a very aggravating form of paranoia, maybe you should consider getting on meds?
