This is a terrible, debilitating symptom!!! I always think I have a notification but when I look right at it, it’s never there.
How do people cope with this???

It keeps happening!
Though mainly on my phone. I think there’s something about the layout on my phone that makes me mistake it for notifications.

That’s awful! You think, “Someone wants to talk to me and, oooh, also beer!” but then no one is calling you and there is no beer.
