Does anybody know about a new law in Washington State regarding involuntary hospitalization?

The doctor of my wife mentioned that recently that has been a new law passed in Washington State regarding getting a person into an ambulance and taken to hospital against their will. If I call an ambulance they are obligued to take the person you called the ambulance for if you say you’re a relative and state they need treatment.
The doctor didn’t have a lot of detail and my memory is vague, but it was something along those lines.

Does anybody happen to know what this new law is (seems like it came into effect sometime within the last year or so maybe), and where I can get more info on it from?
