Does anybody exercise

I can’t exercise because I’m too depressed and stressed out. It doesn’t make me feel better as well. I have tried it before and I had to stop…I think the reason why I can’t exercise is because it takes effort and it is strenuous.

I hike regularly and do calisthenics. I also eat a vegan diet and count calories. I’m on two antipsychotics so I have to do all this to maintain a healthy weight

I used to walk a lot but now since the virus outbreak I’ve been staying mostly indoors.

I’ve gained a lot of weight since. I tried buying an exercise bike but the one I want is out of stock.

Guess I’ll just have to wait.

Do easier exercise like going for a walk. It actually does help once you get going

I try to jog 1-2 km every day. That’s the only exercise I get, except walking to and back from the grocery store.

I’m the same as you @Jake

Too much ■■■■■■■ effort

So in two months times I will feel better and then I’ll try again with the walking in a routine way.

For now I just do it when I feel like it

I do strength twice a week and 2 a day cardio 3 days a week. The last week of every month is light week where I do light cardio and a little martial arts when I feel like it.

I have a treadmill and a total gym. Last week, I incline walked 8 miles with three one-hour sessions on the gym equipment.

I don’t have the energy or motivation to exercise.
Some days I’ll have enough energy to step walk around the house but these are rare.

I have a treadmill but hardly use it.

I barely have the energy to talk normally.
Sometimes I’ll slur my speech.

I am the same, I think meds make these things worse. I rarely get out of bed.

I too, have a treadmill & a sort of total gym at home as well. I try to do 2-3 exercise sessions on the treadmill all of which also last about an hour each. My smartwatch has always vibrated to inform me that I’ve hit 18,000 steps a day for the past few days.

I’ve been jogging for 30 minutes a day as the weather is good.I mix up some weights and cycle when I’ve my bike going. Exercise is hard to start with negatives but it gets easier. It really is beneficial to mental health too which I truly believe and would like to see younger people adding exercise to see if it makes a difference. I started just with a simple fitness tracker…My goal was 10km’s of walking a day. I probably do double that nowadays.

As I’ve stated in many other threads, I think exercise is crucial, if not for losing weight, but for acquiring and keeping good health. And also for maintaining ideal body weight. It’s also absolutely amazing for feeling great about your body, whatever it’s size.

It’s a good idea and good motivation to log what you do. That way you can see results with increased minutes or steps with cardio or reps/resistance with strength training even before you see lost inches or pounds.

I do stretch bands and walking up and down the hallways. I’m concerned I"m not doing enough for my heart. Do you know any good cardio exercises?

Believe me, I hate exercise too. But I’ve found the easiest bang for your buck is like @gene to walk on an incline on a treadmill. It’s just walking! Anyone can walk. But the fact that it’s uphill makes your heart rate get into the zone. But it still feels easy because it’s just walking. Start 2 - 3 degree incline and work your way up to 10 degree.

Currently the gym is closed so I walk for 30 minutes by my house with little spurts of jogging.
