You have to migrate reminders to tasks now.
I did this by simply creating a new reminder on Android Google calendar and following the prompts to migrate all my reminders to tasks.
It was pretty easy.
You don’t get task notifications if you have another Google app installed that uses tasks like “Google tasks”. So either turn off notifications on Google tasks or uninstall it.
Hmmmm… So are they doing away with Google calendar now?

No, just doing away with “reminders” in Google calendar. I have lots of reminders each day. I panicked when I heard they were going away.
But a “task” gives the same functionality really.
You probably log your appointments as an “event”, or at least I do.
Ohhhh okay, whew!

That’s ok. You have events,tasks and reminders. Reminders are the class that’s going away.
