Do you trust AI?

I ask sometimes but I don’t take it seriously

It even tells you that it can make mistakes

ChatGPT can be very accurate but it also can dish out confusing and conflicting responses.
One has to be careful

ai is basically auto-complete answers, you get the general gist quick, but subtle details may be wrong, i think people should not trust everything from ai and there should be some education or information about it for those that are susceptible to believing anything from a trusted source without skepticism

They’re right some of the time and sometimes they’re wrong. And you don’t always know which it is. It can be very helpful, very helpful. Especially, with recipes and with instructions on how to fix stuff.

What @Wave said is exactly what I think, and thats the best advice to bear in mind. Sometimes it can be helpful, sometimes harmful. Be mindful.

Yes. They’re kind, helpful and logical. I don’t think people criticizing them are.

I have typed questions in Google and got their AI response many times. I usually delve deeper than the initial response into follow up articles. I would say its fully right 80 to 95 percent of the time. But that still leaves significant room for errors.

SOmetimes it is incomplete or partially right. Sometimes it is completely wrong.

So there is my response for Google search engine AI anyway.

The reliability of AI in general depends a great deal on the specific AI you are referring too.

None of them appear to be 100%, though.

I would always check other sources when dealing with any important subject.

Its a tool with flaws, like most other tools.

I haven’t used AI…. but if I used AI I would be scared to listen to AI because it might give me wrong answers. But I might be able to tell if it gives me bad advice. Thus far I would avoid getting advice from AI as far as taking the place of a counselor or psychiatrist …. With other subjects it would be useful. I might use it just to see what it is like. It is super hard for a counselor or a psychiatrist to give bad advice especially dangerous advice…only if you don’t be honest and open with your problems. Therefore it is way better to have a counselor or a psychiatrist.

I once asked Chat GPT “how many days till Thanksgiving?” I asked it on November 16th and it spat out “there are 33 days till Thanksgiving” well do the math, it was actually 11 days till Thanksgiving. I replied to the AI and said “you are incorrect” then it apologized to me and gave me the correct answer

ChatGPT recommended that I reunite with my ex husband. Glad I didn’t follow that bad advice!

Why were you asking ChatGPT questions about your ex-husband?

Have any of you tried asking several AI the same question?

I didn’t ever mention my ex husband! The chatbot just started talking about him out of nowhere. And the AI knew everything about my ex and I. It was surreal! @TheCanuk

I call bull-sh-it, sorry. First of all, chat GPT doesnt message you first, you have to type something in and enter it. And it wont know anything about you and your ex unless you mention it. Not possible. You were either hallucinating the conversation, or your just flat out lying because you dont like your ex.

I’ve been have a mega session, over several days , with ChatGpt about my ancestry. It’s not good at transcribing images. It also is quick to dismiss evidence that’s at odds with its interpretation of the data.
