Do you think you're free?

Do you think you’re free? If not then why? Do you think you cause your own, un-freedomness yourself?

I think I’m not free. I depend on my medication. If I didn’t take it, I would be hospitalized. So I’m not free. I like to take my meds because it’s the only way to feel better, but I know I depend on them.

I understand. But I think it’s not our destiny to take meds, it’s just a religion-free help to make us having a better mental health.

Cool Question, let’s define it first

Freedom

Google

2.absence of subjection to foreign domination or despotic government.
3.the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved.

Wiki
generally, is having the ability to act or change without constraint

I think it’s relate to word free will as well!

with society I’m in, mostly I still have to follow the flow at least basic like having job
when I go restaurant, I can order anything I want to eat(If I have money T T)
but still I can only order thing in menu list, So is my order really my own free will?

I had read some novel, one character which is I will refer as “victim”
the victim got manipulate by one character I will call “Mr.S”
Victim haven been in abusive relationship for like…the whole life?
So Mr.S take the chance to do some impressive act to victim
trick him(Victim) into his(Mr.S) planned, in his hands, in his game
Victim who think he receive freedom and had his own free will
he clinging to the concept of his own free will, but in reality being used by Mr.S

So I start wonder, Do we really have a free will?
maybe freedom and free will,
is it just a words to call some concept that all humans made up?
is there really “freedom” ?

well, I just kinda struggle with dissociation since I was little
so many things don’t seem real to me, my bad, my bad, lol.
and actually when I talk about something like this
people just think I’m insane(oh maybe they’re right)
But I like your question
