Do you think it’s fair to dislike someone because their sad all the time?

Would you avoid someone who was going through a long term struggle and was sad all the time?

On the contrary I would try to help him.

It’s fair to dislike them but you should help if you can. It’s draining to be around people who are always sad.

Dislike is a strong word, but I would definitely limit exposure to them if they are bringing me down. I am very susceptible to other people’s moods and I can get real depressed if I’m around people who are depressed all of the time.

It sounds cold hearted, but while I would try my best to help them I would have to set a ton of boundaries for my own sake.

It’s all about whose frame of mind is prominent. If the person’s depressing frame is too strong it’ll consume you. But if your positivity is infectious, you’ll make the person happier.

Some people are easier to take in small doses. Try not to get too negative towards them.

Honestly, yes. I have a hard time being positive myself and someone who is only ever negative drags me down as well. I have to cut them loose to preserve my own well-being.

I think that an antidepressant can fix being sad all of the time. I am sad often, due to sz, and not having a band. I still want others to enjoy my company.
