Depends on what your looking up - and what personally triggers you.

If your constantly googling symptoms and medication side effects, for me it aint healthy.

And alot of people, especially the younger generation - automatically assume what they read on the internet is Gospel. It aint.

It can if you chase that which makes you sick. I stay away from news and anything related to alien conspiracies and I’m okay.

I think the internet can help and hinder.

There are communities like ours that offer a lot of support.

But then we’re humans with different ideas on what support looks like.

So really it depends.

I think reading about conspiracy theories and religion is bad for me. But it doesn’t affect me much since I am stable. I don’t like reading these though

It’s all about how you use it and how long. Setting limits to content and time spent, betters mental health in my opinion.

I spent a long time avoiding smartphones because of psychosis and I think that I suffered because of it. I’m definitely pro use of phone

I think that everywhere with intelligent algorithms is extra dangerous territory while psychotic. Anything that makes predictions about you can really throw you for a loop when you are in the habit of making strange connections.

I don’t think avoiding the internet helps though, it’s hard to know what would help these days. Not being online is a tool that’s useful if you can replace it with something else, just taking out the internet to put nothing in its place can backfire big time.

I don’t know you guys but I don’t have daily social interactions and without the internet filling up the void with parasocial stuff it’s hard to imagine how I’d manage to keep myself functional as a human being.

I lived without the Internet, you will probably get sick more in reality than in it, since it is more dangerous and the wounds from it are not serious
