Do you think a sedative would work for sz? or would it result in brain damage?

so sometimes i research herbal sedatives. i know it will do nothing for my positive symptoms, but i feel like if i can calm myself down, the voices won’t bother me as much. that is how i was going to try to treat myself before i got on meds, is just take something to calm me down when it got bad. i suppose it could result in more damage and progression of the illness though. anybody know? or had similiar thoughts?

I take tiny doses of Klonopin because I hate the feeling of getting zonked out.

A sedative won’t replace an AP if that’s what you’re asking. But you can take one with an AP and it helps.
