Do you take probiotics pills?

I heard that the little bacteria are a naturally occurring phenomenon. I don’t think the pills are necessary or do much good. I also heard slightly putrid food can be beneficial to the gut. I took an antibiotic by a major company that definitely had an effect but I don’t want to say what happened in mixed company, lol, but really it was gross .

i took probiotics only if i have diarrhea and didnt have side effect from it. there is connection between gut and brain (guy brain axis) and the gut microbiota have a role in this connection i didnt read much about it also yogurt have much probiotics so no need for pills

Low sugar greek yogurt like Fage seemed to really help my gut. The probiotics can be good too but the better brands are pretty expensive. It helps too to get enough fiber each day.

I used a lot of antibiotics before, and also fluoroquinolone antibiotics that were very harmful and acutely elicited psychosis and weird interactions with other meds (which is a known side-effect, no clue why my doc did that). I feel this is an important part of my gut/food/mental health puzzle for me. I am researching probiotics, but I’m not sure about them. I read an article that spoke about specific species of probiotics that decrease anxiety and depression. I just really do not know enough though.

For now, I prefer to work with diet and organic-farm-work and such to try better my microbiome. I hope to learn more, and then maybe use the right probiotic if it is needed.

I drink an Activia probiotic drink every day. I really just like the taste. If it helps then it’s a plus.
