Do you study? And is it harder with having illness in your opinion?

My IQ dropped about 13 points from 122 to 109. I don’t do well in study environments anymore either.

I want to learn new words!

My English is so basic.

And yes I think it is harder. Due to concentration focus issues.

And mood being lower

I went back to school in 2015 and graduated in 2017 in aviation maintenance technology. I got an associates degree but that was because I already had a bachelors and a masters degree from before I got sick or I just would have gotten two technical certificates.

It wasn’t too bad. 2015 is when I got stable. Are you stable?

I made all As and one B. Barely passed riveting but that was a manual task and didn’t have much to do with studying. Had to do a lot of math though to figure out what size and how many rivets to do so it was mentally challenging even though it’s mostly a physical task.

I passed all my FAA tests and I am now a licensed aircraft mechanic. Now I work full time. You can recover but don’t be surprised if it takes a while.

I got sick in 2008 and I couldn’t have done it before 2015.

For me, studying was way harder after getting sz. I just wasn’t as smart and had a lot of barriers like motivation, hard time reading, low concentration, etc. It doesn’t matter anymore because I can’t work FT and the point of college is to work. Before sz, I graduated from a very good university.
