Do you look down or up when walking

When you are walking in public, do you look down or up? I myself try to look up but I feel uncomfortable so I look down.

I always look up. I look people straight in the eye and make them look down or turn the other way. When you’ve been the victim you’ll do anything to assert yourself.

That’s just how the cookie crumbles.

I always look down. Idk why. I wish I didn’t. Miss out on life that way.

@ThePickinSkunk , my gosh! I’ve never heard anything so assertive on this sz.com forum since I’ve been logging in. And I believe that would be about 14 years now!

I try not to be a dick but every time when I would be walking with my head down on the sidewalk some jerk vehicle passerby would always shout something. It gets old very quickly even in my small town. Since I’ve been keeping my head up no one has said or shouted a thing.

They do. It wasn’t a 100% of the time but often enough.

i look down a lot…

I do both. I tend to look at my feet when I’m thinking, helps me Focus I get. But then I realize I’m missing the scenery, so I look up for a while.

As far as when speaking to people, I prefer to be looking them right in the eye. Helps me to feel more connected to the conversation

I’m looking away. Eye contact is brief. I don’t know you, don’t need to know you, and if I do know you, best believe I’m pretending to forget. I got a place to be.

I mainly look down. :pig::pig::pig:

I guess I mainly look ahead of me.
Maybe sometimes I’ll look down, I don’t know.

But I’m always hyper aware of my surroundings.

It’s an anxiety thing.

I look ahead of me, unless I’m at the refuge then I’m looking at my feet for part of it to avoid goose poop and up to enjoy the scenery and birdies.
