I have a psychiatric nurse practitioner as well. She has a dark side.
Yes i like her. She is very compassionate. Ive been under her for 8 years. She is straight to the point too. She is very dedicated to her job. Even called me after hours the other week at 7pm when things were going to ■■■■.
I had a pdoc once that I did not really like, and I don’t think he liked me, but I’ve had other pdoc’s who I liked just fine, and they were a big help.
Never had the same shrink, in all the years ive been with them, so couldnt tell you.
Its always Locum Indian Doctors, that i see for literally 10 minutes every 6 months. Different one every time.
I have a slight contempt for them actually - with them thinking they can judge me on medical notes that are probably out of date.
But i “Play the Game” and conform - always smiling sweetly and being polite, whilst underneath im thinking they are a complete knob.
I had a lady psychiatrist for ten years
She left and I got a bulshy psychiatrist who wasn’t good with pills
Recently I have a better psychiatrist who seems to know what he’s doing and makes an effort to be helpful
Loads of you are dissatisfied with your psychiatry in your country because there’s to few scrinks to too many clients.
Please remember that a loads of mental illnesses that are detected went untreated in the past and more drug and alcohol addict needs treatment as well.
So today I accepted that I will get very little help from the state
So now it’s very important to take my meds don’t ever start to drink again and just stay out of troubles
I’m sorry, I’m glad mine doesn’t seem to have a dark side
Good luck @Airparticle.
I have a very hard time trusting my current psychiatrist dr. I find it very difficult to talk to her. I mostly clam up and say “I don’t know.”
My guy is ok, he helped me out when i needed it, i’ve only had him a few years now though and i try and keep him happy.
Yes, for the most part.
I just met my new one yesterday and he seems really nice. And also seems very thorough on getting the right diagnosis. He said he agrees with schizoaffective based on my records
Haven’t formed an opinion yet met him once 3 years ago
Yeah. He’s ok. I had an pdoc appointment today. It went well. Latuda is kicking in I think. Not sure. I had a pdoc that wouldn’t listen to me. Hated appts
She’s alright. 151515151515
Hes such a kind man and actually cares about me. I consider him my friend, and the best psychiatrist I have come accross.
Alcohol causes psychosis too?
I used to abuse drinking maybe 3 days a week long ago
And abuse marijuana on the daily
We believe now that my psychosis was related to consuming so much marijuana. It did not sit well with me mentally after almost 10 years
I like my psychiatrist. She listens well and gives me a say in my treatment.
Downside is that she doesn’t like to write reports and that she always says I will have no withdrawals when quitting a med which is never true.
@columbus I live in Denmark too and I want to quit the Free Psychietry system. I am just a little scared though that something will happen to me. I just hate the group therapy because they are always saying that there is something wrong with me. I am keeping my self esteem low. ![]()
Supet cool don’t quit your terapy hours. I understand that you live in a part of the country where they offer that. I’m one of the left overs in southern Denmark with no other options than to take.heavy antipsychotics.
