I can’t remember as far I think I was always on zyprexa not sure

I am on risperdon and I don’t have any symptoms from February I think. But I feel like there is a better med for me. I am gonna try something else

One of the girls at my day center (age 30) suffered from a psychotic episode. Was hospitalized and put on AP, benzo and AD. Its now 1-2 yrs later and she is only on AD. This doesnt mean that she isnt gonna relapse but so far all is good. Nota: her break wasnt drug induced.

My disease started about 2 years ago after eating space cake. I was put on Abilify a few months later and have been taking it for about a year now. My doctor is okay with the idea of stopping the medication and seeing what happens. Ive slowly been tapering it from 10 (+seroquel 25mg for sleep) to 7.5 to 5 to 2.5mg over the last couple of months. I have been on 2.5mg for 2 weeks now and will stick to that for 1 more month before halving the dosage one last time before stopping. So far all is good but i wouldnt say that i am symptom free. I have cognitive and negative symptoms, disorganization and insomnia, things against which meds have no effect. So in about 2 months time ill be med free but i wont be cured or recovered or in good mental health. Lets see what happens?!
PS: on the other hand that girl from my day center looks like she is doing ok. Looks like she is symptom free to me.
