Do you have cognitive symptoms (problems with memory, attention and concentration)?

I did a test of OCD a time ago and it shows more obsessive symptoms.

Then you are likely having symptoms from both OCD and Schizophrenia. As long as your symptoms are not purely in the OCD range.

Yes, in my case I have problems with working memory, my concentration is poor although I try to do a hard effort when I read or in my class.
Tolteca.

I just got done ā€œreadingā€ some of my Business book. I would read, but my mind was thinking of other things. I couldn’t absorb any of the information. I might have to try going to the coffee shop to really concentrate. I hope this works out. I’ve been on Risperdal for almost 2 years. I think I’ll make it.

I take omega - 3 and genko with my meds and seems to help improve it. Also been thinking of getting into one of the martial arts (money an issue there though) It’s a discipline so would help more with focus and concentration among other things.

When I’m symptomatic my cognitive abilities go down the drain. I can’t do basic ADL’s and when I talk to people what they say sounds garbled and I can’t understand it. I just can’t process information. I have a hard time talking to people because I either space out while they’re talking or I just can’t process the information. Something that has helped, because it happens when I watch movies, is to put captions on when I watch movies. My memory has always been bad, but recently it has been worse. There have been times where I forgot the stove was on. So I haven’t been cooking much. When I do cook it helps to put the timer on so I remember the stove is on. :sunny:

I’ve thought about taking a martial arts class once I move. I need to build muscle mass.

I am not sure but my husband complains a lot that I am very forgetful. And I think its true. Dunno if its my pills or illness or absentminded personality?
