Do you have a cell phone? How much are they ripping you off for?

Just a question. If I were to get a Pixel 3 (regular) 128GB with unlimited data, texts and mins in the states how much am I looking to pay?

I’ve technically got a smartphone as one is on my coffee table. It was one one of my granddaughters lent me . However the other granddaughter used it when hers wasn’t working . She put in her sim card and misplaced the one that had been in it. Hence I have a defunct smartphone.

As for prices-it just amazes me given that such phones have been around for quite a long time that the prices are still so high.

@insidemind

We did buy two smartphone s on contract but they said the monthly cost would be around $160 for two phones but it has been around $550 a month. We’ve been paying what we can afford to pay, $350 a month and the balance has just accumulated to $1200. Anyways my point in starting this thread was that cell phone costs are very expensive aren’t they?

Yes, smartphones have reached and been priced beyond the $1,000 price mark. I had a postpaid 3-year contract for an inexpensive cellphone between 2004-2007 and never utilized the minutes, texts or data at that time. Never again would I sign a postpaid contract for a phone because I just don’t require all those minutes. texts and data.

dude if i were you i would go with chatr.

when data runs out they dont charge you more, they just switch it to 2g and give you unlimited

for $40 you get 4 gigs of data (really unlimited) , unlimited calling and texts.

Consumer cellular $55. 00 a month including tax unlimited calls and text 3gb of data. I only paid like $150 for my smartphone

I also have one of those. I love it. I heard they call it an Obama Phone. That’s cool. I’ll take it. Only 1000 minutes, 1GB data, and unlimited texts/a month. Yay!

My father and I are on a family plan and we pay about $45 bucks a month, unlimited talk and text, 250mb data - we mainly use WiFi.

I own an iPhone 7 and paid $300 bucks for it.

I’m 36 years old and on my parents plan. LOL

I asked them once and they said they claim me o. Their taxes so need to provide 50% of what I need

40 a month with unlimited data text call

I own my phone and pay Rogers 89.00 a month, there are cheaper ones with other carriers but the calls drop a lot , I use it for my business so I need reliable service

I pay £15 a month for 1000 minutes, unlimited texts and 1gb data. I screwed up though when I was visiting relatives for a few weeks recently, I used my phone as a mobile hotspot so I could connect to the internet using my laptop, and they’ve hit me with a £60 bill on top of the usual for internet usage. I don’t have that much in the bank, so will incur bank charges as well. I feel like I’ve been done.
