I do! If you guys remember, I had genetic testing. When that was not enough to be an “answer” for my disorder, my parents got their blood tested.
I didn’t ask my doctor if there was one of the genes I have inherited that is known to cause schizophrenia. And if I inherited it from one of my parents (or both), how long was the genes passed on? Were any of my ancestors diagnosed with it?
Since we do not know the mode of inheritance, we never know if it was passed on recessively or dominantly. But it’s something interesting to think about, since I have a genetic abnormality.
