Do you ever have synesthesia?

I’ve had synesthesia a few times, listening to Beethoven and reading a holy book. Beethoven’s music feels like white boxes and it wasn’t very pleasant, very percussive. The holy book, I won’t name, gave me a rainbow. I have had numerous hallucinations reading this holy book and quit a long time ago. It was bad for my disease but I have the knowledge stored away. Is there a difference between hallucinating and synesthesia?

I have synesthesia.
It was stronger when I was unmedicated, but it never goes away for me.

It heavily affects my musical taste
