Do you blitz on Christmas morning/Christmas Eve?

No, I don’t mean getting high/drunk, lol. I mean, do you open your presents all at once, or one at a time? Our family always opens presents one at a time – so we can see what everyone got, and it helps us “savor” Christmas morning. How about you? Do you blitz on Christmas morning/Christmas Eve?

My family tradition was a good breakfast on Christmas day and THEN presents. My wife’s family opens presents first thing on Christmas morning and then we have brekkie. As always, her family traditions have pushed mine aside. Granted that most of what my family did was unhealthy, this is one I would have liked to have kept.

We kind of take a “halftime” from opening presents, to go eat breakfast. But like you said, it’s a good breakfast. We have the same breakfast stuff every Christmas morning, but it never gets old. Anyways, Happy Holidays to you @shutterbug

And to you! Hope there’s lots of waffles and bacon around you on Xmas morning.

When I was a kid, we would just all tear into our presents first thing in the morning. When I got into my teen years xmas was no longer much of a thing for us, became like just another day. This year I’ll go to my sister’s house for a late breakfast, which is what we typically do now. I usually go for the sausage gravy and biscuits, and maybe some eggs or breakfast casserole, if they make one of those.

Christmas is not so much for the presents as much as it used to be. No one buys me presents except for my mother who buys some things for me to unwrap, and my step brother/ step sister get me something.

I mostly watch my parents open presents from their friends and relatives.

The thing I enjoy is Christmas dinner! For starter I always help make smoked salmon rolled in like a Philadelphia cheese with horseradish and lemon. We also have these special tiger prawns my mother buys every year, and I make a thousand island sauce with lots of paprika.

It has become a tradition!

dang man, that food sounds delicious lol. Yeah, I’ve come to enjoy giving presents, rather than opening them. I got my family a ton of presents this year. Oh well, it’s only once a year and it’s my way of showing appreciation for them. Happy Holiday to you @Joker

And to you too! Not long to go now.

I increased how much I spend this year, so I got something special for my parents, and I spent a bit more on my nieces and nephews - hopefully they’ll like it!
