I answer if I know the number and want to speak to that person and i answer ones that come up as unknown because most of my medical stuff is like that. I do not answer the phone for toll free numbers or numbers out of province. Ever. They’ll leave a message if it’s important. I get way too anxious when my phone rings.
I get a phone call about every 6 months. So I answer it. Lol. Normally I communucate via text.
Oh I wish I could. So many medical things. No texting for them.
In past i didnt nowdays i answer it.
I often ignore my phone when it rings.
I feel bad buy I hate speaking to people on it
I get really anxious when mine rings as well. Then I freak out. I usually answer all the calls thinking that I am going to miss something or that I am in trouble for something.
Mines a business phone so I have to
I only answer the phone if it is from someone in my state. If it’s out of state, it is usually a telemarketer.
The sound of the phone ringing used to send me into an instant panic,
I would “lose” my phone for weeks at a time, regularly.
Now, I’m better with it.
I blocked a lot of numbers, about 90%.
Now the only people who can call me are people I would need to talk to,
Like my husband, my mom, dad, sister, only like two friends and one other family member.
Its been great since I started blocking numbers.
I hate to hurt peoples feelings, because there really is no other way to get in touch with me (no facebook etc…) but its not worth my sanity.
If they are that important to me or really have something to say, they can find my husband’s number with a little quick googling.
Anyway, that’s how I justify blocking everyone.
I text and that’s about it. Everyone who knows me-- friends, relatives, co-workers-- know to text me, not to call me. I have the ring tone set to silent. If someone needs to talk to me, they know to text me first, and then I will answer their phone call. I also never bothered to set up voicemail on my phone, so if someone calls, and I don’t answer, it just hangs up on them. They don’t get a chance to leave me a voicemail.
No. I thought I was weird at first for ignoring phone calls but apparently its quite common. I only answer if I recognize the caller ID, otherwise I just let it go to voicemail.
I hardly ever answer my phone. Then it often takes days or weeks for me to listen to voice mails. That’s not always the case, though. My friends and family know to text, not call.
