Psychiatrists are in school a looong time. So I figure it’s a labor of love.
Thanks @Loke 15
I’ve always had great psychiatrists who treated me with love and concern. I think it is because I am a nurse and I have utmost respect for doctors and it shows. And they respond in kind.
Yes, thanks @SkinnyMe
Would you care if you were them?
I’m in Ontario, Canada and all my psychiatric care is free (Paid for by the government collectively through our taxes).
I’ve had docs/pdocs/social workers that seem to care and others that seem cold and distant. Since I don’t pay them, and they get paid the same amount per patient, I would assume it just boils down to there personality. Some love the profession and want to help, others may regret getting into the field but it’s a way to make a living.
