I think that there are basically two options here. On the one hand, if you are depressed, you may have a reduced interest in sex. On the other, if you feel depressed and take medication for it, you may find yourself with a reduced libido. You may also find your interest has increased. If someone feels a decrease in sexual interest due to what they believe is their medication, they can always try a different class of ADs. I’m on three types myself.
ETA: that’s a collective “you.” I know this is about your friend.

I’m asking about it for someone with OCD pure.
I think it needs to be an SSRI antidepressant.
For pure OCD.
Anyway they are currently calling a doctor but it’s good to hear from ppls experience too

I have ocd, but it’s obviously mixed with other things. The SSRIs haven’t helped with that, so I bought a book on mindfulness with ocd. It was under $15, so cheaper than a therapy session.

Am on SSRI’s 20 years and they do affect one’s sexual desire and performance in the act

Wellbutrin is an AD that increases sex drive.

Oh Wellbutrin is not an ssri but its an AD. It works by increasing dopamine plus norepinephrine but not serotonin. Its an atypical AD.
