I take that too and I stay away from CBD.
Lurasidone (Latuda) is metabolized by the CYP3A4 enzyme in the liver. CBD binds to that enzyme and prevents it from metabolizing Lurasidone. That can cause the amount of Lurasidone in your blood to spike which can make you sick and even kill you in an extreme case. Grapefruit works on that same enzyme which is why you have to avoid grapefruit while on Lurasidone.
I am on a small(ish) dose of Lurasidone, 60mg, and I have taken small doses of CBD (10mg) and I was fine, but after I read this information I stopped taking CBD. I don’t want to risk problems.
