Do Drs get more sick?

From contagious diseases and stress from interacting with infected patients? I read online that Drs and nurses are more likely to get covid. I used to want to be a Dr before sz but now thinking about it I am disgusted by infectious diseases and I don’t want to get infected like covid when a patient sneezes etc Not all patients follow hygiene protocols.

Computer programmer sounds like a better job for me if I didn’t have sz. I had friends who were computer programmers and they recommended it to me.

Drs also experience more burnouts and stress related diseases, also depression, I read. I have 2 immediate cousins who are Drs. I think they hate their lives due to working overtime too much lol

I haven’t done an internet search so I’m just guessing here but:

Doctors have more exposure to disease but also take more precautions than the average person (gloves, etc), so I’m guessing that negates some of it out.

If I were to guess though, I would bet they still get sick more often than the average person. Just a guess.

I guess I’m too lazy to look up stats on it today.

All the radiologists I worked with didn’t believe in retirement. A lot of them died before retirement or they got divorced and lost almost everything, becoming bitter with the opposite sex. A lot of them because they worked in radiology doing fluoroscopy exams got cancer when they retired. It’s sad you serve the public sacrificing yourself just to get done dirty in the end. A few of them had bipolar too.
