thats good advice @far_cry0, thanks for your encouragement. I woke up feeling hopeless this morning. Another day of living in a prison without walls, waiting for psychosis to come back and take me away. I had hope for a cure too, but Im tired of all these scientists and their dramatic findings. I want to see some results. Lets hope that they’re working hard on finding a cure.

nah, it hadn’t occurred to me to do that. I wouldn’t know where to begin nor would I want them knowing that I was mentally ill. you’re libel to get flagged and searched at an airport or who knows what other things that might do.

to answer your original question, they are always doing studies at Mass General in Boston and Harvard Mclean hospital in Belmont. New York University and ColumbiaPresbyterian hospital. those would be places to start if you want to participate in a study

look up sodium nitroprusside i think theres a study on that drug ongoing now.
otherwise its a risk to get involved with a study, theres no guarantee that you will receive the experimental drug. you could end up flying all the way here from Nepal and getting the placebo

If i want to come to trail for drug…do they cover alll my aero flight to usa and return-ticket to nepal
they might, I’m not sure tho. you would have to arrange all that with them in advance. my best guess is that you would be better off going to one of their other sites like in Europe or Asia whee they use the same drug. I honestly have no idea though. But that would be a good project to look into.
i think maryland the NIMH also has trials going all the time.

Its all relative I guess, I haven’t participated but Im sure people do. Its usually for a last resort when nothing else has worked and I think it helps to have your pdocs approval too. I don’t know what they pay maybe a few hundred bucks in addition to travel expenses and lodging.

@far_cry0, I have read the thread carefully. I don’t have any other information besides the News that I post regularly. I think @Minnii is right, the genetic research will ultimately lead to better treatments, but I don’t know how long it will take. Probably decades.
