I’m not sure what I’m dealing with right now, but I think it has to do with having to forge ahead without clearing one’s conscience.

Yes, my wife teaches me this every day. Sometimes I still try to make her feel guilty for her mistakes but she won’t have any of it. All I get every time is, “Everybody makes mistakes.” As you say she just forges ahead. I’ve learned to not beat up on myself so much for my own mistakes from being around her for 24 years. It’s not an easy thing to learn when you’ve had critical parents. Good luck!

My favorite quote, heard in passing -" Isn’t that what life ls, after all - one continuous mistake?" Hearing that in my mind frees me for a little while from all the burden.
