I saw Dune which was the first time in well over a decade I’d been to the movies. It was good and worth seeing in the cinema but as someone who has read the book a million times it was passable.
Only saw Dune. Was basically a long slow setup for the sequel, I didn’t love it as much as I thought I would.
Whenever the Oscars nominate pictures they are most often films about protagonists struggling against poverty or discrimination. It’s like the only category of movie they even consider. Spider-Man outsold every movie on that list and they don’t even take it seriously.
