I got a bachelors degree in 2004. I never got a job.
I did some freelance work for the thing I had studied, didn’t do that for long. I later got a job unrelated to that, which I quite enjoyed.
I graduated in 2013
If I had not done the course, would not be able to get the job I have now
My job is technical data science and research in STEM
But it’s a humanities and social science degree I have
5 years professional experience means the same as a technical degree
Some people I work with have phds and masters degrees
I did gain employment with my Master in Economics as an analyst in the corporate world. But that was pre-sz. After my first psychosis I only worked over half a year fulltime before I had to call it quits.
I m sorry for all those of you who did nt get a work after you finished your degree. I understand how hard that most be. Afterall I was in the same boat as you. I really never fit anywhere neather at working or educating places. So at age 24 I quit my 2. And last works I had. The last 5 years I ve spend learning the interpreters Python and Lua ( programming languages). But as you know. They layoff coders every where so there are no works there.
I quit full-time work age 25. So I only worked for 4 years.
People with no mental health issues seem to have long careers!
I’ve worked 3 years straight with out a condition after a year in college equivalent. But worked 12 years in 15 after diagnosis but at about 10-12 different employers. So 1 employer every 1.5 years roughly… that’s why I’ve opted to switch to a mh role where I can feel a little less anxiety etc
Duden I m very pleased with your achivemens. Was your work in different areas of your profession. And what is your profession rigt now. Did your profestion align with your college education.
I’m pretty sure I would have been better off, not getting the degree I chose, because I probably would have taken an easier job that paid better.
Collage is a good way to get knolegde able. But also very expensive.
Nope no employment at the end of education.
